Travelling toWarsaw
Things to see in Warsaw
Walking tour
Freewalkingtour offer a great ”Welcome to Warsaw” tour that brings you around the city in 2,5 hours. We’ve been on a bunch of their tours and they always deliver! As the name implies, you are not required to pay anything, but it is encouraged to make a small contribution – if you want to do so, remember to bring cash!
Old Town
A must see for all visitors and part of UNESCO’s world heritage list. Most of the Old Town was actually reconstructed after being leveled during World War II.
Warsaw Uprising Museum
This museum tells the story of how the citizens of Warsaw resisted Nazi invasion during WW2, with lots of historical artifacts. You can take a guided tour or self-paced tour that takes about 2 hours.
University of Warsaw Library
The rooftop garden of the University of Warsaw Library is one of the largest and most beautiful roof gardens in Europe. It is a very popular resting place for students, residents of Warsaw and tourists. Perfect if you want a calm afternoon stroll.
Restaurants
Rano Piekarnia - great for brunch
Eatery - modern Polish cuisine
Gessler - more traditional Polish cuisine in a fancier setting
Norblin Factory - a food court in an old industrial building
Does it matter which airport I pick?
Not really! Warsaw has two airports, and you can choose to land at either one. Modlin is a little bit further away from the city (about 40 minutes) compared to Chopin (about 25 minutes). Both airports have buses that take you to town, but both offer Uber/Bolt at great rates as well.
Hotel
We have signed a collaboration with Hotel Moxy, which is located in central Warsaw. All guests can get a fixed price when using the link below. Wedding guests also get a free drink ticket for the meetup the night before (read more about this under “Schedule”).
Of course, you don’t have to stay here – if you prefer another hotel, that’s totally fine!
The offer is valid until 13th of April.
